• History

  With over four decades of history, the Santana Textiles Group occupies a central position among textile and clothing manufacturers, consolidating its leadership in the manufacture and development of different and innovative basic denim fabrics.

  The Santana Textiles Group started its journey as a manufacturer of hammocks, reaching the end of the decade of 1970 as the national leader in this segment. The company Fiação Santana was born in the early eighties as the first Brazilian manufacturer fully focused on the open-end processing for the production of cotton threads.

  In 1995, the company adds a new segment to its activities: the production of denim fabrics. This is when the Santana Textiles Group´s first textile unit started to operate, with a plant in the State of Ceará´s countryside that today has a mean output of 3 million meters of fabric per month. In 2002, the company expands even further with the acquisition of two factories in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, with Unit 2 handling the manufacture of threads and Unit 3 producing the fabrics.

  In 2006, the Santana Textiles Group shows yet another achievement: its new industrial park, its Unit 4, located in the city of Rondonópolis, State of MatoGrosso. In the following year the company inaugurates its first factory outside Brazil (Unit 5, in the Province of Chaco, Argentina) and presents its new name, Santana Textiles, to strengthen its international expansion activities.

  Santana Textiles investing again ininternational expansion activitiesof their high quality level denim, foreseen to inaugurates, in 2012, its second factory outside Brazil (Unit6,Endinburg, State of Texas, United States), aimingto better serve the marketin North America and Central America.

  The units of the Santana Textiles Group work 24 hours a day, always producing with the highest quality and innovation. More than seven million meters per month of different basic denim fabrics, manufactured by the brands Santana Textiles, Loco Serious Denim and BEM – Bi-Elastic Movement.

  SANTANA TEXTILES vertically integrated production process includes R&D, spinning, dyeing, weaving and finishing. The principal manufacturing plants include modern, automated and integrated yarn spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing facilities. SANTANA TEXTILES can produce approximately 100 million of meters of denim fabrics annually.

• SANTANA FIOS®
  

  The story of success and strength of SANTANA TEXTILES began in the 80’s with the production and commercialization of open-end yarns. Today, after all the investment and growth in the denim market, SANTANA TEXTILES decided to come back into the yarn market launching Santana Fios®.

  With a new state-of-the art textile plant in the largest cotton-producing region in Brazil -the State of MatoGrosso- Santana Fios® has the most modern plant in the market.

  Santana Fios® production and commercialization of open-end yarn (36,000 tons) and conventional compacted yarn (12,000 tons), offers products to satisfy the needs of customers of flat and circular weavings, as well as carded, combed and compacted yarn.

  There are numerous applications for Santana Fios® products: mesh finishing, cotton, half-mesh, piquet, ribana, socks, underwear, sportswear and beach wear, as well as decorative fabrics for covers, curtains, cushions, shirts, linen, table cloths and bath clothes.
